The Reality...

But He said to me " My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power made perfect in weakness"
2 Corinthians 12:9

Family & Friends,

First off, I just want to say thank you for taking to the time to read this. I would especially like to thank all of our family members thus far that have been so supportive and loving. As much as it saddens me to write this, I know telling you all will only give me strength and healing. After a year and a half of doctor's appointments and testing, Jimbo & I have been given the news that we will not be able to have children. Without going into a lot of detail, since both of us have issues, adoption is going to be the best option for us. Although we are heartbroken we know that God has a plan and will take care of us! Before we found out this news, we had always wanted to adopt anyway. We are so excited to start our adoption journey! Since this is going to be a long and emotional journey we are asking you for your prayers and support. I would also like to ask you to pray for our future child (whoever that may be). One of the biggest hardships of adoption is of course the price. Prices range from $10,000-$40,000 all depending on the adoption fees, traveling, lawyer costs, medical treatment for birth mom etc.. We know that God will provide for us and he will make it happen. We will be doing several fundraisers to help us raise money so stay tuned for those!  But most importantly we hope that you will continue praying for us.
Pray for comfort, healing, and patience as we start this journey.
Thank you so much again for reading. Please feel free to share this, we need all the support we can get!

We love each and every one of you!

  2. Becca, adoption is a wonderful and special journey. You two have amazing sweet hearts and do not worry. It can be a long journey but once you have the child in your hands smiling at you, it is all worth it. Stay strong, I know things will be turning out perfect for you both. Love you and praying for you both... :) ~your ole friend Diana Burdette

  4. Becca and Jimbo,

There is nothing that can compare to being a parent. The two of you will change the life of a lucky child. Stay strong and determined in this challenge. Your dividends will far outweigh your resources invested.
